Welcome to Plymouth and South Hams Cats
Protection. Our thanks to the support of the public and a core group of
dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly, free of charge, to help the cats of
Plymouth and South Hams.
Plymouth Cats
Protection total unwanted cats taken into care 2011 = 158
of which 138 were
homed this broke down to 78 kittens; 60 cats.
Over 150 home visits were made including those to give advice on neutering/
welfare concerns.
We helped over 15 cats find their owners and vice versa and helped feed over 25
feral cats.
We also have one hospice
care cat who is in the advanced stages of renal failure and are supporting 4
cats rehomed with existing health issues requiring veterinary treatments.
25 cats came into care due to health/dental problems above and beyond our
usual veterinary requirements. We treated 167 cats for fleas and worms.
Sadly only a handful of our intakes were either vaccinated or micro-chipped, so
we did that too !
We now have over 168 members supporting our group. We would
like to thank everyone who supported
us last year by making a donation, volunteering or adopting a cat from us.
Your support is essential and
enables us to continue helping abandoned or stray cats and we welcome new cat owners, new volunteers and of course your donations which
make it all possible!
